Ferriols Residence
Ferriols Residence, we stayed at the latter and the Ferriols family is an amazing host! Mrs. Lita Ferriols-Alba is usually in town around Holy Week to continue their family's tradition of hosting the Easter morning "Salubong" procession. Most of the time, she's in the United States. You can look for Ms Helen Ferriols who manages the place.

Wild Rose Beach Inn
We stayed in this place called Wild Rose Beach Resort Inn. We stayed at the Inn for 2 nights and 3 days. Wish we had stayed there longer. I love the place a lot. I stayed there for 3 hours waiting for the sun to set. You can see everything once your up there. The sea, mountains, nearby houses, and the canopy. The lighthouse is the tallest structure in Pundaquit.
We rented the Kubo and 2 Rooms. The Kubo is super cool, seperated into two rooms with a fan and comfortable. we rented 2 airconditioned rooms. I stayed in the airconditioned room, the room is clean. The bathroom is cool. everything is fully functional, water heater and all. It contains everything that you ever need. Wild Rose has cool interiors, specially the main building. It has its own Wifi spot! Beat that, having a wireless network in Pundakit is cool. The karaoke area is a hit, lots of people stay there and there is the bar with all the drinks that you wanna order. The swimming pool is really clean.

Anawangin Cove
Pristine and secluded, the beach of Anawangin Cove is fast becoming a popular tourist destination near the Subic, Zambales area. Surrounded by pine trees and carpeted by volcanic white sand from Mt. Pinatubo's eruption, Anawangin cove looks like a winter scene in the tropics. The sand is very fine and beach very wide. During low tide, the beach is very long and wide and the waters calm, making it ideal for swimming.
Pundaquit Anawangin View
From Pundaquit, there are two ways to get to Anawangin Cove. First is the trekking the mountains and will get you five hours to get there. Or by boat where you can enjoy the scenery of sea or islands and the mountains from Pundaquit to Anawangin. It will only take thirty minutes to get to Anawangin by boat. By using a boat, youwill surely enjoy the ride, even though bumpy at times, the view is amazingly beautiful!
Boat Transfer
Boat ride from Pundaquit to Anawangin is Php 800.00 (Day tour) or Php 1200.00 (Overnight). Prices are always roundtrip. This means even if you trek going to Anawangin and ask a boatman to pick you up to go back to Pundaquit, you still have to pay the full day tour price. What I Like About Anawangin
There are a lot of things to like in Anawangin like its beautiful beach, crystal clear waters, and mysterious pine trees. What I like most about the place though is the simplicity of life when you are in it - no electricity, no cellphone signal, no resorts, just the basic necessities and without the distraction Anawangin of technology. That way you can appreciate the beauty of nature more and you will have more time bonding with your companions.

Pundaquit Location
Pundaquit is a hundred and sixty kilometer drive from Manila.
How long is the trip from Manila?
It can take four to five hours through public transportation. On average, a bus reaches San Antonio, Zambales in four hours. Still, your total travel time would depend on traffic volume, time of the day, and time spent on stopovers. There are two stopovers, one at Double Happiness, Lubao, Pampanga and another at the Olongapo City bus terminal. The tricycle ride to Pundaquit is 10-15 minutes and the boat ride to Anawangin is 20-30 minutes depending on the weather. It is advisable to start the trip very early in the morning.
If you have your own car, the drive to Pundaquit would take approximately 3 hours through SCTEX.
Things to Know in Pundaquit Travel
Pundaquit is a fishing village located in San Antonio, Zambales. The primary livelihood in this small, yet lively and beautiful town is fishing and tourism. Locals who speak both Ilocano and Zambal, also speak Tagalog as well. They will be more than willing help you if you ever lose your way to the winding roads from the town traveling to the beaches of Pundaquit.
This town is primarily known for its calm and clean beaches compared to San Narciso, San Felipe and upwards the shores of Iba Zambales. Even though the waters of Pundaquit is facing the open ocean of the China Sea, it is sheltered by the hills, mountains and its neighboring islands. It is also the best jump off point if you want to visit the Camara Island, Capones Island and Anawangin Cove since it is the closest shores to these destinations.
Very few people have gone to the farther, more pristine coves known as Nagsasa Cove and Sinlanguin Cove where a few friendly and hospitable Aetas live in harmony with nature. Unknown to many, these coves offer a more relaxed and quiet environment for tourists and campers alike during their stay and adventures in Zambales.
The one hour boat ride to these two coves will be worth the money and time spent once you step on the fine white and grayish sands of its shores.
